Who we are
BIMS is provided by Bodkin Interactive (bodkininteractive.com). This policy describes how the hosted service at bims.bodkininteractive.com handles information.

What BIMS is
BIMS is a collaborative mind-mapping web app. You can create maps, invite teammates, comment on nodes, and share view or edit links.
Account information
When you sign up we collect:
- Email address
- Password (stored hashed; we do not store plaintext passwords)
- Optional display name and profile details you choose to set
We use this to authenticate you, provide your maps and teams, and contact you about the service when needed.
Content you create
Maps, node labels, comments, team membership, and share-link settings are stored so the product can work. Content you put in maps may be visible to people you invite or to anyone with a share link you create (view or edit, depending on the link type).
Sessions & cookies
We use session cookies or similar tokens to keep you signed in. These are required for the app to function and are not used for third-party advertising.
Hosting & processors
The public BIMS service runs on infrastructure operated for Bodkin Interactive. Authentication and database services (for example Supabase when configured for cloud mode) process account and map data on our behalf to run the product. We do not sell your personal data.
Self-hosted / local installs
If you run BIMS yourself (local SQLite or your own server), that copy’s data stays under your control. This policy covers the Bodkin-hosted service at bims.bodkininteractive.com.
Analytics & advertising
BIMS does not include third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell personal data. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy.
Retention & deletion
You can delete maps you own in the app. To close an account or request deletion of account data on the hosted service, contact bodkininteractive+help@gmail.com from the email on the account. We will delete or anonymize personal account data within a reasonable time, except where we must retain limited records for security or legal reasons.
Share links stop working when revoked or when the underlying map is deleted.
Children
BIMS is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not create an account if you are below that age.
Your choices
You may update profile details in the app, revoke share links, leave teams (where available), and request account deletion via Support. Related: Terms of use · Support.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
